Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the Parliament after a controversy erupted in the Budget Session over Congress MP Sonia Gandhi’s remarks.
Sonia Gandhi called President Droupadi Murmu a “poor thing" while commenting on her address to the Parliament.
President Murmu addressed a joint sitting of the Parliament to mark the beginning of the Budget Session after which Sonia Gandhi was asked by reporters for her comment outside the Parliament.
