After the meeting, Yogi Adityanath said, “We will develop a region to support sustainable development in Prayagraj and its surrounding areas. An extension of the Ganga Expressway will be carried out, connecting Prayagraj to Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Kashi, Chandauli, and ultimately linking to the Purvanchal Expressway in Ghazipur."
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also visited Prayagraj to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela. The Union Minister also performed religious rituals at Akshaya Vat, Patalpuri Temple, Saraswati Kund and Hanuman Temple.
This year’s Maha Kumbh commenced on January 13. The event will continue until February 26, 2025.
