England fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of any cricketing action for the next four months after undergoing surgery for ligament damage in his left knee. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the development on March 13 (Thursday). The express pacer had been managing his knee issues for a while but the matters worsened during England’s Champions Trophy 2025 match against Afghanistan where he left the field after experiencing discomfort.
Wood will now work closely with the ECB's medical team to focus on his recovery and return to the national side as soon as possible.
